Obituary of Chris Walsh

John Christopher ‘Chris’ Walsh Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chris Walsh, age 43, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Jerry and Arlene (McNamara) Walsh. All throughout his life, he was a sportsman, playing darts, baseball, and basketball. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leaf’s fan. He enjoyed singing an old tune and playing his guitar. Chris appreciated spending time with his pride and joy, his children and family. Besides his parents, Jerry, and Arlene, he is survived by his children, Noah, Lily, Anna and Maci; mother of his children, Nicole Mitchell; brother and best friend, Gerald Walsh; sister, Jennifer; Grandmother Mary Walsh, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as best friends Terri Mitchell and nephew Cole. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, from 12- 2 p.m. and a memorial service to follow at 2: 00 p.m. with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating, all taking place in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S.
