Obituary of Micheal Daniel MacNeil
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, Micheal Daniel MacNeil, on Friday, October 13, 2023. Born in Sydney on July 30, 1994, he was the son of Charlotte Patrice MacNeil and James Daniel MacDonald.
Micheal was known for acting goofy and making people laugh, being soft hearted, and would do anything he could for loved ones. He loved the beach, hiking, camping, driving his quad, and shooting at the range in Truro. He also talked about lots of special memories from growing up on Ken Tom Lane down by the shore.
Micheal is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Charlotte, grandfather, Michael “Mitch” (Sheila), grandmother, Anne (Earl), Anita (Roddie). He is also survived by and will be greatly missed by his big sister, Cheryl (David) Tighe, and nephew Jaxon Tighe. He will also be missed by his cousin and best friend Ronald (Ronnie) McGean, and all the aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Hugh MacDonald, uncle Andrew Campbell, and best friend, Daniel Cameron.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, from 4 – 6 pm at the funeral home with a Celebration of Life following at 6 pm, Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
