Obituary of Stuart Almon Andrews
It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Stuart Andrews on Wednesday October 11 2023, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with family by his side.
Born in North Sydney , on September 16 1955, he was the son of the late Murray and Mary Andrews.
Stuart was a member of the Army and Navy Club in Bras d’or and the dart league.
He was an avid guitar player and volunteered for many years with his friends George Quirk for the seniors at various homes.
Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sandra (Bennett) Andrews; sister, Marilyn (Layton ) MacKinnon, his nephew Wayne (Heather) MacDonald with whom he shared a special bond, also his lifelong friend of 64 years David Grant, New Brunswick, and two nephews , one niece, five grandnieces and two grandnephews.
Besides his parents, Stuart was predeceased by his sister, Susie MacDonald.
There will be no visitation or memorial service. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and burial Specialist, Sydney , 6 Churchill Drive, (902) 539-7175.
Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the ICU unit and staff at palliative care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
