As I sit here and look at this handsome man with the sparkle in his blue eyes and read through tears this well written obituary, I reflect on my own childhood of living next door to this beautiful man for 34 years. I was the last to move out of the family home, not the baby but the babied and have many fond memories of this man being the father figure to me for many years. Rudy loved children always, he would come to our house every Christmas Eve and have us all up by midnight, he would then go home and Ma would have to deal with us. He was a treasure to our Mom, Lena - Widow White, as Rudy called her, her handy man and Jack of all trades he definitely was that. Oh, so many wonderful memories of both Rudy and Mimi. Cherish your parents for as long as you have them. My dad passed when I was seven, I was lucky though because Rudy was my neighbor and would do anything for you. Even come over with a fishing net when I had a bat flying around the house. His girls showered him with the love that he showered everyone with for years, be proud, you all shared some wonderful memories with him. Love you Rudy! My deepest and sincerest condolences to all Rudy’s family! May the memories you all created bring you much needed comfort at this difficult time. Rest In Peace!
