Obituary of Ann Louise (MacCormick) Sherwood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Sherwood. Born November 18, 1963 and raised in Marion Bridge, Ann was the daughter of Charlotte (MacKinnon), wife of the late Bryden MacCormick. Besides her mother, Ann leaves behind her daughters; Charlotte (Joey) Sherwood-Leblanc, Bras d’Or, Linda Sherwood, Sydney Mines; her love of her life grandchildren, John, Spencer Sherwood, Katie, Emily Sherwood-Leblanc and Melissa Sherwood-Gerow; brothers, Billie (Sally) MacCormick, Marion Bridge, John (Jenn) MacCormick, Mira Road, and her sister, Jean (Gary) Ross, Albert Bridge. She was predeceased by her father, Bryden MacCormick. At this time, the family would like to thank Palliative Care Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Hospice for their excellent care and making Ann feel at home. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. A Celebration of Life will be held at Grand Mira Community Hall at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 30. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ann’s memory may be made to Hospice Cape Breton, Grand Mira Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
