Wilfred Carnall, 96

Wilfred Carnall, formerly of Ronald St. Glace Bay, age 96, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Seaview Manor.
Born in Donkin, Wilf was the son of Walter and Drucilla Carnall.
He was an extremely hard worker and spent his life mining coal for Devco. He loved to snowmobile and fish, and he and Ownie spent many years at their cottage in Lake Ainslie.
Wilf is survived by his sister-in-law, Doreen (Ed) Mullins, Collette (Bernie) Livingston, Carol (the late Mike) MacIntosh, and brother-in-law, Barry (Diane) MacIntosh. Wilf had a special bond with nephews, Peter Ed Mullins (Shanda) and James Leo Mullins (Winter) and a close relationship with nieces Alana MacLeod (Mackie) and Arlene MacIntosh. Also left to mourn are nieces Anne MacDonald and Debbie MacLeod as well as many more nieces and nephews and close friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Leone Carnall, sisters Edna Tansley and Eva Fowler and brother-in-law Mike and Eric MacIntosh, and sister-in-law Jean MacIntosh.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at 1 pm in Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay, Friday, September 29, 2023, with a mass following at 2 pm with Father Norman MacPhee presiding. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902-849-4199. Burial to take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay following the mass.
