It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Caines, age 86 at the Glace Bay Hospital on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, with her daughter by her side.
Born December 21, 1936 in Reserve Mines, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine (O’Toole) Livingstone.
Marg is survived by her children Kevin (Louise), Joe (Joanne), Wayne (Alana) and Brenda Southwell; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Jobe, Ontario and brother Eddy (Lois) Livingstone, Reserve Mines, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold William Caines; son, Donnie Caines; great grandson, Nicholas Worthington and Brother Gerry Livintstone.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 1- 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding. Interment to take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at the Reserve Mines Pensioners Club. Donations in Marg’s name may be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care.
