Christina ‘Tina’ MacPherson
Dominion
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christina ‘Tina’ MacPherson on August 28, 2023. Born in Glace Bay, on July 4, 1943 and was a resident of Dominion. She was the daughter of the late Raymond (Frye) and Mary Margaret (Virtue) MacLean.
In her earlier years, she worked as a nurse’s aide and was a member of Kinettes. She was the best baker and cook in the world as can be attested to by her friends and family. Tina was the most generous and kind person that lived. She was the first person that baked or made food when a friend or family member was sick or a death occurred.
Tina is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Omar MacPherson; her son Todd; her grandchildren, who she was very proud of Michael (Jennifer) and Faith Olivia and their mother, Darlene MacPherson; her grand fur dog, Beau. She is also survived by her brother, Sandy ‘Whistler’ MacLean, brother-in-law, Mark (Margie Rose) MacPherson; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Tina was very close to her niece Wendy (Hughie) Ferguson, and the family thanks her for her support throughout the years. Tina had many countless friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Jimmy MacPherson, brothers, John ‘Claney’ (Priscilla) MacLean, William ‘Will’ MacLean and father and mother–in-law, Malc and Helen MacPherson.
Her family and friends have been left with a huge hole in their heart, but are comforted that she filled their hearts with much love and comfort.
No flowers as requested by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Down Syndrome Society would be appreciated.
