Obituary of Debbie Campbell

Deborah Ann Campbell Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Debbie Campbell at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Friday August 25, 2023, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret ‘Peg’ Lambert. Debbie excelled at tole painting and she enjoyed singing and cooking, especially Italian and Chinese cuisine. She loved to garden, spending many hours with her flowers. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Peter; son Roger; sister, Joyce Verbeski; brothers, Bernie and Reggie (Joanne); brothers-in-law, David (Ann), Gerard, Francis (Grace) and Tom; friend and cousin, Carmen Lambert ; as well as many nieces and nephews, Lorna, Krista, Laura, Michael, Michael, Matt, Megan, Adrianne, Kyle, Jimmy, Gary, Cheryl and Sonya. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her father and mother -in-law Butler and Audrey Campbell; sister, Clara Lambert, brother, Hector McNeil, sisters-in-law, Sally and Sue; niece Bernice. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 12 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2: 00 p.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding, all taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
