Obituary of Terry Lawrence Clements

Terry Lawrence Clements Glace Bay, NS It is with a broken heart that we announce the sudden passing of Terry on Friday, August 25, 2023, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Glace Bay on January 24, 1965, he was the son of the late Chester and Reta (Bond) Clements. Terry was known as a man who loved his family, a hard worker, and a gentleman with a great sense of humor. He loved spending time at the bungalow in Islandview where he enjoyed time on the water and gathering around campfires with family and friends. In the true fashion of being a Leaf’s fan, he was always a kind, patient, and loyal man. Terry was proud to be a Coal Miner at DEVCO working as a Mechanic, a Machine Operator at Magna, and most recently, a Maintenance Coordinator for CBRM Public Works, where he will be truly missed. However, the title he wore best was an amazing Husband, Father and Poppy to his family. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 39 years, Brenda (Brufatto); sons Cory (Amanda), Justin, Devan, and daughter, Kelsey (Brandon). As well as the greatest sisters, Cathy (John McInnis) and Colleen (Sheldon O’Donnell). Poppy will be missed by his precious granddaughters, Madison, Emma and Casey. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Louis Brufatto; brothers-in-law Donald (Darlene), Jim (Bev), David, Chris MacNeil, Rick McKinnon, and Ed Gerrits; sisters-in-law Diane Smith, Pauline (John Coolen), and Patricia; and many nieces and nephews, who by some, he was lovingly known as Uncle Bubba. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law Norma Brufatto; in-laws Barbara and Francis Yates, Jeanette MacNeil, Irene McKinnon, Gerry O’Donnell, Kevin Smith; niece Tayler McKinnon, and very special cousin, Kevin Murrant (Lynda), who was like a brother to him. Visitation for the late Terry Clements will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 2-4 p.m., and a Celebration of Life to follow with Rev. Myrna MacMullin presiding, all in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glace Bay Food Bank, a charity of choice, or if you are able, become a blood donor. Special thanks to the Medical Day Unit at the Glace Bay Hospital, the ICU Staff at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and to all those who donated blood.
