RATTO, Gordon Gerald, age 84 of Halifax passed away August 24, 2023 at Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of Dorothy Boutilier and Lucien Ratto.
Gordon had many interests and talents, H.A.M Radio, “Velpo”, flying, bass guitar playing, photography to mention a few. He loved walking and received many achievements from Dalhousie University for research.
He is survived by his son, Gordon Gerald Ratto Jr.; his daughters, Rose Marie Awalt (Scott), Glenda Jean Green (Doug); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great friends, Debbie Shand, Baxter Crocker and Bob Schultz
He is predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Lucien Ratto and William Oliver Ratto.
Special thanks to the staff of Melville Lodge. A Celebration of Life will be held a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
