Obituary of Winston Robert Kirk

KIRK, Winston (1941-2018)- 76, of West Pennant, NS passed away February 22, 2018 Winston is survived by his loving Wife and best friend of 54 years, Sylvia (Gray); Daughter Shelley (John) Critch; Son Robert (Trina); Brothers Eldon (Margaret-Rose), Maynard (Helen) Grandchildren; Tyler, Connor, Travis (Chelsea), Cody and Kyle Honorary Son/ Grandson: Chris MacLean and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his father Aubrey Kirk; mother Olga Kirk; sister Hazel; brother Arnold Besides his family Winston loved spending time at his camp on Ragged Lake. He lived for fishing, hunting and camping at Riverland campground where he was known to enjoy a good game of horseshoes. He enjoyed many hunting trips to Cape Breton and Newfoundland. Winston had a great sense of humour and sure could tell a story. Winston worked for the Department of Transportation and Maritime Testing where he made many lifelong friendships. Cremation has taken place. At Winston’s request no service will be held. The family would like to thank everyone who visited and called. Winston cherished each and everyone. He was even able to have “facetime” thanks to technology with Marg Gray and Cody. A special thanks to Dr. Shaw and all the staff that cared for Winston on 5A at the VG, along with the Palliative Care Team.
