Obituary of Sharon Maye Lynk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful sister, aunt and friend. Sharon Maye Lynk passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 24, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John A. Lynk and Alice (Briand) Lynk. Sharon was predeceased by brothers, Billie and Donnie. Sharon is survived by her special nephew, Joshua, Fort Mac Murray, Alberta and his partner, Brittany. Also left to mourn her passing are sisters; Linda (Stan) Louisdale, Myrtle (Fred) Sydney, Bev (Lloyd) Sydney, and her twin sister and best friend, Sheila, Sydney; brothers; Roddie (Anita) Howie Center, Gordon (Bev) Sydney River, Kenny, Marion Bridge, Francis (Colleen) Sydney, Kevin (June) Sydney; nieces and nephews; Deborah, Dennis, Denise, Donna, Derrick, Kim ,Jimmy, Darlene, Sheri Lee, Bryan, Tammy, Tracy, Clifton and Tyler, and many great nieces and nephews each of whom held a special place in her heart. Sharon will be lovingly remembered for her kind, loving and generous nature. She loved gardening and cooking. She welcomed family and friends into their home for a cup of tea and her famous tea biscuits, carrot cake and pies. She will be deeply missed by family and friends, especially her good friends Chrissy and Sally. She leaves behind her cat Patches whom she loved and spoiled. A special Thank You going out to the nurses and doctors of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the EHS staff. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. There will be no visitation as per Sharon’s wishes.
