June 7, 1960 – July 30, 2023
Donald Edward Wadden, 63, of Wadden’s Cove, residing in Glace Bay passed away on July 30, 2023, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Edward and Amy “Ted” Wadden.
He enjoyed playing darts and cards in his free time. He could often be found camping on the Mira and loved spending time with his family and friends. Donald was a talented artist, painter, and woodworker. He worked for many years as a labourer in the fishing industry.
He is survived by his wife Heather (Fraser), daughter Virginia, brother Melvin, stepchildren Valerie and Bonnie Roberts, Gregory Alexander, Tania, and Emile Lussier; his many cherished grandchildren: Michael Scott, Laila and Emmett Roberts, Ethan and Emily Brushett, Carlee Crocker, and Caleb Lussier. Donald is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved extended family.
Along with his parents, Donald was predeceased by a brother Kevin, mother in-law Fannie Howell and father in-law Albert C. Fraser.
A viewing will be held Friday August 4, 2023, at 12:00 pm, followed by an intimate memorial service at 1:00 pm, in T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902-849-4199. A burial will be held at a later date.
