Nina Weston (MacDonald) MacMullin
Port Caledonia
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on July 3rd, 2023 at the An Cala Unit, Palliative Care surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80 years. Nina was born to the late Katherine (Wadden) and Richard MacDonald.
At a young age, she pumped gas at Dearn’s Corner. She then managed the Donkin Credit Union and was the bookkeeper for Home Hardware in her early years. She was a wonderful homemaker, and loved to sew, quilt, make crafts, kilt making, woodworking, decorating, bird watching, babysitting, going for daily drives with Archie and a good game of cards with a beautiful lunch to follow. She attended Sharon Crocker’s aerobics and Ruth’s Yoga. Nina was a member of the MacDonald Pipe Band and the Highland Dancers.
Nina is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Archie; her daughter, Stephanie (Gerry) Brufatto; special grandson, Riley who she cherished and he gave her much joy; sister Margie Godin; sister-in-law, Barb MacDonald; step grandchildren, Jason (Nicole), Dwayne (Meghan) and Ryan (Lisa), several step great grandchildren; in-laws, Thelma (Emerson) Murray, Brian (Betty) MacMullin, Jim MacMullin, Melvin (Mary) MacQueen, Sharon (Bill) Hines, Mary (Paul) Holland; Lois MacQueen, Jane MacQueen; special cousins, Janice Boutilier and Douglas MacQueen as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
