Obituary of Sarah "Sally" Mary Blois

Sarah Mary Blois Glace Bay, NS It is with great sorrow, that we announce the passing of Sarah (Sally) (Sampson)Blois, on July 4, 2023, in the Glace Bay General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, Sally was the daughter of the late Jerry and Marcella Sampson. In her younger years, Sally worked in the New Waterford Hospital, and was a loving caregiver to many; she also worked at the KFC, Glace Bay. Sally enjoyed meeting with “the crew” at Tims, she loved spending time with her family, and most of all, looked forward to her Saturday night dance and listening to her favorite band “In the Mood” with her soulmate Jack, who affectionately called her “Lovey.” Sally had a heart of gold and a classy style that we will surely miss. Sally is survived by two sons: John (Pam), Antigonish, and Ken (Tammy) Reserve Mines, with whom she resided; a daughter Colleen (Derek Gouthro); she is also survived by brothers Billy and Harvey; sisters Diane (Brian) MacDonald, and Bev Sampson; five grandchildren, Bryden, Derek, Patrick, Karlee and Charlotte, who were all nanny’s pride and joy; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. Along with her parents, Sally was predeceased by her husband Jack, son Jerry, grandson Cameron, brother Neil Sampson, nephew Jonathan Blaise Syms, and nephew Neil Sampson Jr. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Sally will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5-8 pm, and a Celebration of Life to be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 11 am, all in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902.849.4199. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, or charity of one’s choice.
