Obituary of Daniel Robert MacDonald

Daniel Robert MacDonald, 74 Glace Bay, NS Daniel Robert MacDonald, 74, of Glace Bay passed away June 29th, 2023, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary (Curry) MacDonald. Roberts greatest love was for his grandkids, who he loved spending time with, teaching them how to drive, and telling stories and jokes about all the trouble he used to get into in his younger years. He was unbelievably proud of every grandkid and all the accomplishments they have made and would brag about them every chance he got. He knew how to make a joke out of every situation to make us all laugh. He enjoyed going for daily drives to robins with his daughter, Roberta, as well as long drives around the island. His favourite hobbies were fishing, hunting, and running the dogs. He loved a good feed of lobster, mussels, and clams. He loved playing pool with his buddies in his complex. Robert took a lot of pride for his work in the mine. Robert will be sadly missed by a son, Donald, and his daughters, Roberta, and DeAnne (Lawrence); grandchildren, Shaun (Makayla), Megan (Tyler), Lauren (Brandon), Ella, Whitney (Greg), and Chris. His great grandchildren, Clara, and Audrey; son-in-law, Bradley, brother, Michael, and sister, Eileen; As well as his many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Elmer, Murdock, Johnnie, Kevin, and Joseph, and sisters Katherine, and Josephine. In accordance with Roberts wishes, Cremation has taken place and no funeral ceremony will be held.
