BLACKBURN, Sharon Louise, 74, Tantallon. It is with geat sadness that Mark and Tammy announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great – grandmother.

Mom passed away peacefully at the QEII – VG hospital at the age of 74, after a brief battle with cancer.

Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Desmond; and her parents, Hugh and Dorothy Cooke.

Mom leaves behind her children, Tammy (Kevin), Mark (Jennifer); four Grandchildren, Amber(Zack), Laura (Shondel) Morgan (Dylan), Ryan (Danielle); and four great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Dawson, Liam and Jazzy. She also leaves behind sisters, Janice (Rick), Diane, Debby (Ed); and brothers, Hugh (Doreen), Wayne (Edyth).

Mom asked that a special “Thank you for being my friend” go to Dorothy, Sylvia, Madeline and Patty she loved dearly.

As per mom’s request there will be no service and a private burial at a later date, when she will be laid to rest with dad.

A very special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the Palliative care unit, who made moms stay comfortable and treated her like family.
