Obituary of Joseph "Hedley" MacLellan

HEDLEY JOSEPH MACLELLAN,81 Glace Bay, NS Hedley Joseph MacLellan, Age 81 of Glace Bay, NS passed away June 21, 2023, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Hector and Olive MacLellan of Dominion, NS. Hedley moved to Toronto, ON. at 17 years old and made a wonderful life for him and his family but always made a trip home whenever he could. He was proud to have grown up on Neville Street. Survived by a son Charles; daughters: Robin MacLellan, Stacey MacLellan, Sherrie (Dave) MacLean, and Michelle Sanford; a brother Orson MacLellan (Karen); sisters, Heather (Peter) Kennedy, Wendy (Joseph) Saccary and Deborah MacKillop; grandchildren: Sarah, Jessica, Adam, Chantal, Dillon and Shana and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Margaret (Henderson), his wife Marguerite (Deveau), parents Hector and Olive MacLellan, sisters Gwen MacAskill, Cuddy Catherine MacKinnon, and Leanna MacDonald. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held, on June 29, 2023, at 1 p.m. in T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902.849.4199. Burial to follow in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, Sydney, NS. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
