Joseph “Joe” Blaine Peach, 55

Glace Bay, NS

It is with great sorrow, that we, the family, of Joseph “Joe” Peach, 55, of Glace Bay, announce his passing on June 9, 2023, in the Glace Bay Hospital. Joe was the son of the late Colin and Florence (Boutilier) Peach.

Joe battled Diabetes for many years, and in the end grew tired, and is now at peace. He was well known from participating in all types of sports, he enjoyed darts, cards, swimming, and playing board games. Joe was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan, as well as a Toronto Blue Jays fan. Joe was the proud father of eight children, who were his world. His daughter Robin will never forget the many nights spent laughing and watching Supernatural.

Joe is survived by children: Derrick, Chris (Keona), Sean, Andrew, Alex, J.J., “Robin (Alicia)”, and Brittany; grandson: Evan; Sandra and Moira (moms to his children); siblings: Mary Corbett (Greg), Stella, Sharon (Gene) Vaters, Vivian (Larry) Pushie, Lucy (Ray) MacNeil, Paulette (Thomas) Usher, Ross, and Freddie, all of Glace Bay. Joe held a special bond with his nephew Colin Peach Sr, as well as several other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Along with his parents, Joe was predeceased by sisters, Valerie, and Muriel, brothers, Archie, and Kevin.

We the family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital who cared for Joe, as well as the Doctors and Nurses on 3rd floor of the Glace Bay Hospital who took exceptional care of Joe.
