Obituary of Tammy Marie MacCormack
Tammy Marie MacCormack, passed away at the Battlefords Union Hospital Tuesday, May 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of Jerry & Glenda MacCormack, Tammy graduated from Holy Angels High School then St Francis Xavier in 1995 with a major in chemistry. In 1996 she went to Korea to teach English for the next 13 years. While there, she took Taekwondo (black belt #3), kickboxing, Korean paper crafts and did some travelling. She then returned home and attended N.S.C.C in Dartmouth and received her engineering technology water resources diploma with honors. She first worked in Cudworth on a one-year work term before landing a job for the City of North Battleford. She made an impression on everyone she came in contact with no matter where she went. She joined the archery club and was on the executive board until stepping down recently. She was always a cat lover; Skye and Winnie will miss her.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Glenda; sister, Susan; brother, Daniel; nephews: Jarred (God Child) and Coloman; nieces: Alisha and Kayla; grandnephew, Koda and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Gerald (Jerry) MacCormack; paternal grandparents: Doug & Ellen MacCormack and maternal grandparents: Hugh & Agnes MacDonald.
A Celebration of Tammy’s life will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery, North Battleford, SK. Memorial donations in memory of Tammy may be made to the Battlefords Humane Society – Box 645 North Battleford, SK S9A 2Y7. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium – Vanessa Macnab Funeral Director. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Sydney in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175 on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11am. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery (Provincial Park grounds), Brickyard Road, Mira. Donations can be made in Tammy's honour to Battle River Archers, the archery club where Tammy spent countless hours volunteering. Tammy was a very active member, organizing, coaching and being a part of the board of directors for many years. Donations in her honour can be sent to battleriverarcherscorp@gmail.com.
