Kevin Parker Andrews Glace Bay We, the family, are saddened to announce the sudden and untimely passing of Kevin Parker Andrews on April 30, 2023. Kevin was born on June 4, 1954, in Port Morien to Gordon and Bertha Andrews. He was one of four children. In 1977, he married the love of his life Wendy and had two beautiful children Tiffany and Kevin. Through the years they showed people the meaning of true love. It brings the family peace knowing they are now reunited and together forever. Kevin was a devoted father and grandfather to his two children and four grandchildren. They were his world and he loved to attend all their sports and academic events. He was always their number one fan cheering from the stands. Everyone knew and loved seeing “Poppy.” Kevin was an amazing hockey player in his day and longtime Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan. He passed on his wonderful traits, skills, knowledge, and love of the game to his boys. The girls also love sports and went on to play basketball and soccer; Their Poppy, well, he learned to love these sports as well. Kevin loved nature and organic foods. He was known for his beautiful gardens and flower arrangements. He and his father were always tending to their gardens and were known for their bountiful and abundant flowers and vegetables. Kevin had a love of hunting and fishing. He loved to hunt for deer with his son and it became a yearly tradition for them. He also loved to hunt for rabbits. He taught each of the grand kids how to set up snares and it was a great way for them to have fun and spend time together. Kevin could make a mean rabbit stew. He passed on his love for all things outdoors, including fishing, to his grandchildren. Kevin was his family’s biggest support. He loved to gather them all together and cook for them. Cooking various delicious food was his passion and having his family enjoy it was his happiness. His kindness, support, and love of his family and friends are what made him so undeniably special to everyone who knew him. Showing his dedication and working for NAPA for over 40 years he made lifelong friends who he cherished until the end. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (Loren Pemberton) Andrews; Son Kevin (Kara) Andrews; Grandchildren Kenzie, Claire, Sidney, and Landon.
