Obituary of Margaret Parkin

Margaret Annie Parkin Margaret Parkin passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, NS at 97 years of age. Margaret was born at Lambton Mills (Toronto) Ontario, the youngest of three children born to Edwin Percy and Carrie Lee Saunders. In 1946 she married her best friend Robert E. Parkin and was a loving and devoted wife until his passing in 1990. Margaret predeceased her first-born son Edward William (Ted), but is survived by her other sons: Robert Douglas (wife, Arlene), Sydney Gordon (wife, Karen) and 6 grand-children, 14 great-grand-children and one great-great-grand-child. Her faith, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, is that she is in Jehovah’s memory until He resurrects her and her husband into the paradise earth He has so lovingly promised. A Memorial Service for Margaret will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 257 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS at 2:00 pm Saturday May 6th. Cremation has been entrusted to the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS.
