Obituary of Ethel May Hillier
We are saddened to announce the passing of Ethel May Hillier, 82, of Prime Brook on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney Mines, Ethel was the daughter of the late George A. and Minnie (Clarke) Bennett. Ethel was a devoted Jehovah Witness, old-fashioned in her ways and a very kind and giving person.
Ethel is survived by her brothers, Douglas Bennett, Andrew (Darlene) and Roderick (Theresa); sisters
Irene (David) Robertson, Sandra (Stuart) Andrews and Donna Edmunds.
Besides her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her husband, William Hillier, brothers Kenneth, George Frances, Harold Roy and sisters Joan Whyte, Linda Blackie, and Mary Faulkner.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Interment to take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11 am.
Donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the Diabetes Society or a charity of choice.
