Obituary of Lila (Dawe) Carson

Lila Carson Glace Bay It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Lila (Dawe) Carson, 69, of Glace Bay. Born in Sydney, Lila was the daughter of Frank and Betty Dawe. Lila loved to knit and crochet. She was very involved in community activities and her church and also wrote articles for the Cape Breton Post. She was a teacher by trade and loved to educate people on her extensive knowledge. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to museums, taking long walks in nature and she loved swimming. Lila is survived by her mother Betty Dawe; husband of 44 years, David Carson; daughters, Mira NcBridhe of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Grace Carson (Gordon), Edmonton, Alberta; brothers, Frank Dawe (Loulou), John Langley; sisters Blanche Morrison (David Lebering), Lillian Goyan (Fred Louthers); grandchildren, Tyler Carson, Ava Carson, Mya Carson, Christina (Tina) Carson, Jasmine Carson (William Dawson) and great-grandchildren Jack Dawson and Melody Dawson. Lila was predeceased by her father, Frank Dawe, maternal grandparents, Russell and Lila Langley and paternal, grandparents Lillian and Fred Dawe. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS, 902-539-7175. Visitation will take place at T.J. Tracey Funeral Home on March 13, 2023 from 12-1:00pm with service directly following in T.J. Tracey Funeral Home Chapel with Lt. Dion Durdle officiating.
