Terence Bay has lost a real treasure in Johnny Little. He loved his family which included the whole community when all was said and done. His kind loving heart and gentle soul was what you got with him along with the devilish little twinkle in his eye as he'd wave as you passed by. I remember that infectious laugh when we worked at the fish plant that he shared with us all over lunch or break. We were all blessed to call him our friend. Joyce and family, my heart is with you all at this time. Take comfort in the fact that this special human loved and was so proud of all of you.

Dear Joyce, I am sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny.
I remember when we summered on the Hill down the Bay when you started to go with Johnny. You were made for each other,
kind, sweet and gentle soles. He would pack us teenagers in the back of his truck and drive like mad with the rock flying
up around us, or far out from shore in his boat loaded with young people when the weather turned bad and he had a hard time getting us back to the wharf. We didn't worry as we knew John could get us back safely. What fun. He was one of a kind.
Love to you and your family,
Cousin Sandra Gallivan Jeans

Dear Joyce and family. I am with you as we celebrate our John’ s life.
A good, honest, and a man of faith. How can I forget his love of family and God.
Star of the Sea was for him a source of strength where he met God’s family at Mass.
I will say a special prayer for him and all of you.

Dear Joyce and family,
I hope you will find peace in knowing that Johnny is at peace now. Reading the obituary brought so many memories of my few years in the Bay. I remember visiting his dear parents. They were all about family and would ask me if I was ok being away from mine. Joyce, I am praying for you and all the family. love, Joan

To dear Joyce and Family,
Johnny was a fixture in my early childhood memories of our beloved Terence Bay because for one thing, extremely good looking, and second, because out grandmothers were sisters and we summered happily in the house up the hill behind the store!
I remember him speeding down the Government Wharf in his truck stopping just inches from the end so clearly, also his wedding to the beautiful and kind Joyce, the building of their home and the birth of each of their gorgeous children, and now so many decades later the way Life seemed to be then seems “Golden” to me……..and so much more meaningful and sweet somehow!
I am truly sorry to know that you will be grieving John, and missing him and I will be praying for your strength in these difficult first days and weeks without him! What a blessing and comfort it must be to know that he had a rich, full, happy and long Life……May he rest in Perfect Peace!
……….with my sincere sympathy and affection, Penny (Baker) Clark

Many years ago, I worked at the Fish Plant for a time. As you know, Johnnie was one of the foreman there - and thank goodness for that! He was a calming and gentle presence amongst all the chaos who treated people with respect. That was Johnnie in a nutshell. He was a gentleman AND a gentle man. My sincerest condolences for your loss.
