My name is Kathy Leblanc,
I have know Janet for many years. We were neighbors in St. Hubert and soon became fast friends. Jan was one of a kind. She brought me out of my comfort zone on many occasions and I thank her for that. She was a fun loving person with a very caring heart. Our families spent alot of time together with other friends. I was very sad when she moved away but that did not stop the friendship. My heart goes out to her family at this time but she is now at peace. Til we meet again my friend.

My sincere condolences in the loss of your mom Janet. I have met her on several occasions as she was a dear friend of my sister Trish Braun. A special lady with so many crafty talents. I also worked at the IWk and so often shared hellos in passing . I was able to visit her at one time in Truro. Gone too soon. May she rest in peace.

My name is Karen. I have been a friend of Jann's sister Jean for almost 40 years. As such, I have met Jann on several occasions. The last time I remember seeing Jann, Jean, our friend Ann and I spend a girls day in St. Lambert. The day began with lunch at the local cheese shop and continued to a visit to Taylors, the local department store. Jann's vision had already begun to create challenges. Jean, always wanting to give Jann autonomy and space, suggested she shop with me. Well, Jann's eyesight may have been failing her but her sense of touch was keen. I was struck by Jann's ability to feel the fabrics and instantly determine what she wanted next to her skin. As any good girls day out, this one included lots of laughs, a few shopping bag, and a glass of wine. Rest in peace Jann knowing your children, grandchildren and your extended family are in good hands with Jean.

My name is Brenda Jackson. I am a longtime friend of Janet’s. We met in the late 80’s in St Hubert, through friends. We were all military or ex- military! Janet was our leader, getting us into fun activities. That’s all I’ll say! I was very shy then so she was the perfect friend for me. She encouraged me and told me I can when I said I can’t! Our small group of about 4 couples did many things together. Such as church, meals sports. We all had kids so they were in the mix as well. We went on a regular camping trips yearly for a time! We called our tent arrangement Smurftown and yes we went from tent to tent with a big blue tarp. Life was not always fun and games. As true friends Janet and I were there for each other at the difficult times as well. The passing of Lyn and Janet’s mother. She came to Montreal to help me when my son had cancer. We didn’t need to ask, we just showed up. Janet and I went on a couple of trips together, just her and I. The last being our trip to Bermuda. She was beginning to have real symptoms by then. I’m so grateful to have done that trip with her. We had a great time! People say friendships come and go but ours was a lasting friendship I’ll always cherish. I’ll love you my friend forever and miss you always. Rest now, your battle is over. Bren❤️

Dear Erin, Losing a parent is like losing a piece of ourselves. Even though your mom is free and in a better place after her recent affliction, no one is ever ready for this type of loss. May you and your family find solace supporting each other in your time of grief.
