Obituary of Stanley Peter Planetta

Stanley Planetta Albert Bridge We are saddened to announce the passing of Stanley Peter Planetta, 84, of Albert Bridge, N.S. on February 27, 2023, at home. Born in Whitney Pier, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Planetta. Stanley, a veteran, was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 682, the Whitney Pier Legion and Steel City Pensioners Club. His garage and backhoe were his pride and joy. He is survived by his companion, Josie, of 7 years; his son Peter Planetta; sisters Theresa Hariharan, Buffalo NY, Veronica Cooney, New York, Josephine Skrypnick, BC and extended family, John MacDonald (Muriel), Paula Stockley (Stephen) and Brandon MacDonald. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, 11 o’clock in the Chapel, T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, followed by a reception. Interment will take place afterwards at Resurrection Cemetery.
