Obituary of Erma Alice McNeil

Erma Alice McNeil, 90 Glace Bay, NS It is with deep sorrow we the family of Erma McNeil of Glace Bay, announce her passing on February 20, 2023, in the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex. Erma was the daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Dye. Erma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A schoolteacher, she taught us all the need to love others, care for others, and to treat others with the respect and dignity that they deserve. Her lessons will live on in those whose lives she touched. Erma is survived by a son: Paul Roderick McNeil (wife, Lisa McNeil); brother: Thomas Dye Jr; sister: Viola White; sister-in-law Corrine Dye; grandchildren: Johnathan, Jacqueline, and Emma; great-grandchildren: Ruby and Robbie; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceasing Erma was her husband John and sister’s Dolores and Myrna. Memorial Service for the late Erma McNeil will be held in the spring.
