It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Johnena Marie Long, 60, of Sydney on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at home. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Gerald “Jerry” and Mary (MacKinnon) Long.
Johnena loved to be with her family and friends and enjoyed music and dancing.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her partner, Allan Ryan; brother Gerald; sisters Mary (Gerard), Howie Center, and Dolena (Sheldon) Andrew, Shediac as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS 902-539-7175. Visitation will take place in T.J. Tracey Chapel on Friday, February 17 at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11 with Father Burke officiating, refreshments to be served after the service. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CNIB.
