Helen and I had lots of laughs at work. Sometimes we laughed til we cried. I loved our times together. She had a wonderful outgoing and giving personality. Rest in peace Helen. My sincerest condolences to her family.

I am still in shock and heartbroken at the passing of such a dear friend. Helen was a bright light and always knew how to make me laugh, we shared many a story and a few adventures over the last 20 years. Helen was so thoughtful, she had a card for everything and loved receiving them just as much. From Mars Bar squares to sausage rolls, there was always a story. I wish peace to her family and friends, she will have a place in my heart forever.

Linda, and all of Helen’s family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Helen through our work at the Dept of Health, and will always treasure our little chats - I especially enjoyed chatting with her when she returned from a trip to Scotland when her accent grew so much thicker. She always had a smile for you, even when she was wading through the implementation of yet another administrative system to track letters, meetings, and progress on the departmental mandate. I was not surprised they kept bringing her back to the Dept after her retirement - she knew that place inside out. Take comfort in the fact that Helen had a lasting impact on everyone who had the chance to meet her, and her smile and kindness will always be remembered.

My most Sincere Condolences to all members of Helen's Family. That said, Condolences don't seem nearly enough. I have just learned of this Sad Tragedy (Feb.8). I have known Helen and her family for a number of years and she was nothing short of a Very Wonderful person. Her passing comes as a True Shock to myself. I have not talked recently with Helen but I always thought a day would come when we once again would meet. I do now and I know I will continue to miss Helen now that she has passed on. I have tried to express my thoughts and touch on my feelings at this time. Helen is gone to eternity, out of sight but her Memory will remain with me as long as I live. R.I.P Helen

I was very sorry to hear of Helen’s passing late last week at the office. Helen put in a good number of hours every day at the Barrington Tower. She did much more than book and reschedule appointments (which were endless) … she always knew who else you could call if you were stuck for something. I spent more than an hour or two with Helen after 5 pm on the 17th floor … no one could tell a story, with such detail, like Helen. And there was always the “one more thing before you go” story. I certainly did miss her when she finally left the building to retire. My sincere condolences to Helen’s family (and her work family).

Condolences to Helen’s family on her passing. I had the opportunity to work with Helen for over 11 years. Helen was always a joy to work with and always helpful. Loved the times we would sit around her desk and get caught up on a few laughs and updates. She spoke so often of her family and how proud she was. Helen will be missed by many. Prayers are with you during this difficult time. Linda Brown

Just heard about the sad passing of Helen. I was a co-worker at the Department of Healtha number of years ago and got to know Helen. We had something in common - both from Scotland (she was from Edinburgh and I was from Glasgow}. Had many a good laugh with her - she was a kind and caring person and a a good sense of humour. Sending my heartfelt condolences to all the family at this very very sad time. Love and hugs. Scottie (Carol Egan)
