Obituary of Hendrika Kettledas

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Hendrika Diana Kettledas at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on January 25, 2023 with her family at her side. Born in South Africa, she was the daughter of David and Henna Syce. Hendrika was a compassionate and dedicated ICU and dialysis nurse who worked in South Africa, Saudia Arabia and in England. She had an overwhelming love for God, her children, and her husband. Her smile and warmth will certainly be missed. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Hiron Kettledas, for 14 years; her son Andy and daughter Chante; 2 brothers Denzil and Carl, and 5 sisters, Rosaline, Johanna, May, Irene and Miriam. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00pm in the funeral home with a funeral service at 2:45 pm in the Chapel, reception to follow.
