Obituary of Michael Chute

Michael Charles Victor William Chute, Age 64, Halifax, passed away January 17, 2023 at home. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late, Charles Herbert Chute and Eva Ruth Chute (Dennison) We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, father, son, companion and friend from complications from a respiratory illness. Michael grew up in Digby NS and moved to Alberta after finishing school. He worked at Mountain Minerals, where he grew to love the outdoors and being in touch with nature and wildlife (his “critters”). Michael raised his son, Adam, as a single father and they had many great adventures together. Michael moved back to Nova Scotia after Adam graduated from high school and he settled in Halifax with Michele and their cat Zoey, who he had a special connection with. He is survived by companion and best friend, Michele Pickrem of Halifax; son, Adam Chute, Alberta; brothers, Mark Chute, Halifax, James Chute, Dartmouth; sisters Pam, Boone, Dartmouth, Tanya Forrest, Yarmouth; nephews, Chad Chute, Tony and Adam Boone, Ryan Forrest; nieces, Emily Forrest, Kaitlyn Chute; and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his, sister Cheryl; and brother, Wayne; and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents. No visitation or service by request.
