Obituary of Edmund Siu Huen Fung

Edmund Siu Huen Fung, 71, of Halifax passed away suddenly on January 11, 2023 in his home. Born in Hong Kong, he was the son of Ivy Shau King Li and Kim Ling Fung. He is survived by his spouse of 36 years, Gail Edwards; his sister, Sabrina Fung; her husband, Glen Steinman; his uncle, Simon Lee; sister-in-law, Sandra Fung; and his two nieces, Stephanie Fung and Nicki Fung. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Bernard. A talented graphic designer and photographer for over 35 years, Huen loved travelling with Gail, especially to Malaysia’s sunny beaches! He was refined, exacting and a marvelous cook of both Chinese and Western cuisines. Above all, he was a loyal and loving son and brother, a good friend of many, and the most loving spouse that anyone could ever have wished for. He will be greatly missed. As per his wishes, there will be a simple cremation attended only by his closest family.
