Obituary of Glenna Parsons

Glenna Danielle Parsons Glace Bay We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Glenna, our beautiful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Sadly, mom was taken from us much too soon on December 24th, 2022 at the age of 54. Glenna leaves behind her pride and joy, daughter, Shelby and son, Corbin (Marley). She is survived by her loving parents, Glen and Diane Parsons as well as her siblings, sister Kim (Glenn) and brothers Mark (Erin) and Glen Michael (April). Glenna is also survived by many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, six nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Irene Parsons, maternal grandparents, John Marr and Sally Marr-Currie and close cousin Alicia Currie. Mom graduated from St. Rita’s School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1991. She was a compassionate and loving nurse for thirty years throughout Canada and the United States. Mom had a passion for cooking and was proud of her accomplishments in the kitchen. She adored her fur babies, Milo and Quintin who provided great comfort and love. Mom was a devoted Christian and she can rest easy in the arms of the Lord. She was an amazing mom who dedicated her life to her children and their happiness. As per mom’s wishes, she has been cremated and her family will have a celebration of life at a later date. “May God’s blessing welcome you with open arms at the gates of heaven.” Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
