Obituary of Donna Button

Donna Marie Button Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend Donna Button on Monday, December 19, 2022. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Eliza McDonald. Donna was employed at Highland Fisheries for many years. She loved spending time at the bungalow in Loch Lomand with all of her grandkids, who were her world. Being a Mom and Nan were her greatest achievements. Ma was one of the kindest and most selfless people in the world, and we were so lucky that she was ours. Donna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dwight Button; son, Warrick Button (Cheryl); daughters, Crystal (Steve) Sibley and Dara Button (Richard Geddes); brother, Egan (Betty) McDonald; sisters, Margie McDonald and Chris; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her six precious grandchildren, Sasha Ryan (Matthew) Rebecca and Breton Sibley, Jaymie, Caleigh and Ethan Button; one beautiful great granddaughter Emma Button; of course all of her fur babies, who she loved just as much. Besides her parents, Steve and Eliza, she was predeceased by her mother and father –in- law, Phoebe and Warrick Button; sister, Darlene Stubbard, niece Wendy Stubbard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada. Special thanks to the staff at Seaview Manor for taking care of our mom especially Kelly.
