It is with deep sadness that we the family of Annie MacDonald, 93, Glace Bay, announce her passing on Monday, December 19, 2022, in Victora Haven Nursing Facility. Annie was the daughter of the late Mary and Steve Melnick of Dominion.
Annie enjoyed cooking and baking, and she would do this for all her family and friends, whom she loved deeply.
Annie is survived by a daughter Brenda (Francis) Tomiczek, Oshawa, ON; brother William Melnick, Oshawa, ON; sister Julia (Benny) Gaetan, New Waterford, NS; four grandchildren: Adam, Daniel, Shawn, and Tracey; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Annie was predeceased by her husband Shunna MacDonald, and a son Steve, as well as brother’s Steve, John, and Walter.
Special thank you to Wayne Tarso, Tina and Omar MacPherson; special thank you to the staff of Victoria Haven for the special care provided to Annie while she was residing there.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902-849-4199. A Celebration of Life for Annie will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding.
