Obituary of Henry Peter Leon
Henry Peter Leon
It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Henry Peter Leon, 81, of Sydney on December 18, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Henry was the son of the late Eugene and Louise (Forrest) Leon of Westmount. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Henry leaves to mourn his loving wife and soulmate Dorothy, of 60 years; his sons, Eugene (Samara), Francis and Curtis (Karen); his four grandchildren Micheline, Wyatt, Norah and Miyah and was looking forward to the fifth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and will also be greatly missed by his close friends Paul Forrest, Mark Forrest, Butch Leon, and Larry Sherlon.
He was the owner and operator of Leon’s Small Engine and Marine for 40 years, where he shared his passion for engines with his sons. In his younger years Henry would often be found on a frozen lake fishing with friends.
Besides his parents, Henry was predeceased by his sisters Ida, Carol, Loretta and brothers Randy, Johnny and Eric.
There will be no visitation by request. Family interment service will be held at a later date.
