Memories flood back to the mid-1950's - mid-1960's.......long, warm summer evenings playing on London Street & in our driveways
& yards : skipping rope, hopscotch, & the favourite " seven-sies "... bouncing the ball against the Hope's garage door. At dusk our
mothers would call us in & we'd anticipate more of the same the next day. Little Adrienne in her carriage, Chico the chihuahua
nipping at our ankles & big sister Heather telling us to keep the noise down ! If it weren't for Jocelyn, I may never have learned Pig Latin ! Although she was only one year older than me, I looked up to my beautiful friend Jocelyn as a mentor, a confident, and just plain fun to be with. When the Hopes moved from London Street, we lost touch, which I regret. But Jocelyn has been in my heart all these years. I send my deepest sympathy to her family.
