Age 53
Born July 24th, 1969, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Passed suddenly on December 3rd, 2022 due to an unexpected illness.
Freddie gave almost 30 years of work to the HRM in both delivery services and the children’s department for the Halifax Library. He would perform puppet shows for the kids at the IWK and local libraries. Freddie also worked as a provincial civil constable.
He loved the woods and spent years playing paintball and camping with his family and close friends. He would also often go kayaking during the summer months and enjoyed the view of the lake. Freddie enjoyed fishing and would give his catchings to others to enjoy. There are many fond memories of barbecuing and playing washer toss all day long. He was able to travel to many places and explore the world around him.
Freddie is survived by his daughter, Kyra Skinner; his dad, Ruford; his siblings, Shawn (Deborah), Zana, Quincey (Patricia), Shyla, Dee, Levy and Bubby, and Tony; special brothers, Jonathan, Peter, and Bobby; wife, Buranda; special nephew, Christopher; and niece, Zamika; Mom McLean (Connie); many nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his biological father, Frederick Skinner; and mother, Donna Stevens, only a few months prior. May they both spend a wonderful afterlife together now, in heaven.
