Arthur Green Parsons Glace Bay We, the family, regret to announce the passing of Arthur Green Parsons on November 28, 2022, in Hospice Cape Breton. Born February 24, 1932, in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Hubert and Sarah Parsons. Art is survived by his daughters, Darlene (Robert) Brufatto, Lorraine (Stuart) MacLeod; daughter-in-law, Debby Parsons; companion, Sharon Oliver; sons, Arthur Jr. (Cheryl), Jerry, Leonard (Diane); grandchildren, Jeff, Lindsey, Courtney, Darcy, Sheldon, Lisa, Terri, Shane, Ashley and Michelle; nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Blanche MacDonald, Joyce Boutilier, and Kay Yorke; brothers, Gordon (Frances) and Calvin; as well as many nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Theresa, sister, Bessie Anderson and brother, Martin. Art was a coalminer, who started his mining career in # 24, #12, #26, Prince Mine and Phalen Collieries. He enjoyed his days as lead shearer mechanic which took him on several trips to Scotland with his son Leonard and other miners. He retired from the mine and loved living life with travel, fishing and many enjoyable weekends. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Ellerker, Glace Bay, staff of 3 W, Glace Bay General Hospital; the great staff of Hospice Cape Breton.
