Hazel was my best friend and I treasure all my memories, including several trips to England and France. Loving gardens, standing in Monet's Giverny with Hazel was especially memorable. I will truly miss her.

Judy and I met Ed and Hazel on several occasions when we lived in Halifax Nova Scotia. Ed and I worked on a groundbreaking telecommunications project at that time. We have kept the Nova Scotia crystal glasses that Ed was kind enough to give to us. Having read Hazel's obituary, her life was both challenged and challenging, an amazing story of intelligence and perseverance. Ed, wishing you the best. We have great memories of both you and Hazel.

I was saddened to read of Hazel’s passing in the paper today. Even though we were roommates for only 3 days in the hospital she became a dear loving friend. I will think of her always especially every time I eat chocolate ice cream which she so loving made sure I had several times a day. Another beautiful angel in heaven. R I P dear Hazel

Ed, I was very saddened to hear of Hazel’s passing. I fondly remember meeting her when I worked with you on the IWAN project in the 1990’s. Hazel was so friendly, sincere and warm and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with her. My sincere sympathies to you and your family at this sad time.
