Obituary of George Roy Day

age 73. Born March 19, 1949. Passed away at Valley Regional Hospital in the wee hours of the morning on November 2nd, 2022. George was predeceased by his wife, Doris Beverley (Keddy) Day, leaving no family members. Since Doris’ passing in 2012, George lived on the streets, in homeless shelters, hospitals and with his dear friend Ruby Hansen, Kentville, NS. Up until that time, he was a laborer, working for many families in Hants County for over 40 years. “He would proudly reminisce about those years and the families he served.” All that knew George and Doris, loved them both very much, and now with George’s passing a great void will be felt in the town of Windsor, when we don’t hear and see that friendly “HELLO”, smile and monster wave. And now, God’s riches blessings are upon you George, as you dwell forever in Paradise, forever with the Almighty God. Service held at Harvest House, 101 Stannus Street, Windsor, NS. Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Cremation has taken place under the care of T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax. Donations can be made to Harvest House, Box 903 Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0, or at Harvest House on the day of the service. Receipts will be issued at end of the year.
