Obituary of Massaad N Bitar

BITAR, Massaad N. (Saad), Age 71, Dartmouth. It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Massaad (Saad) Bitar, who passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2022, at the Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by his wife, children, and family. Predeceased by his parents, Naim and Julia; and his brother, Anwar, Massaad is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Anita; his son, Johny and daughter, Joelle; his brothers, Edward (Victoria), Amin (Lillian) and Fred; his sisters, Najla and Amal (Tony). Immigrating to Canada at an early age with the hopes of starting a new chapter in his life, Massaad was a hardworking man supporting his family. He loved and adored his family and loved taking trips with them. Massaad absolutely loved socializing and always made time for a good conversation with friends and family. There will forever be an empty place in our hearts without Massaad. Visitation will be held at T.J Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists at 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, on Sunday, November 6th, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass is to be held on Monday, November 7th at 11:00 am at St. Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church. Burial to follow at St. Antonios Cemetery, Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church.
