Gordon Donald Hann Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Gordon Hann, age 71 on October 31, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Christina (Burns) and Cecil Hann. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Cathy (Nolan); son Jason (Chantal), daughter Crystal (Stanley); grandchildren, Hadley, Diesel, Whitney, and Sloan. Gordon is also survived by sisters, Shirley Budden and Jean MacKenzie; Aunt Ivy Milley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gordon was employed with Devco, working in the coal preparation plant for many years until his retirement. He was involved in the union for UMW. In his pass time he enjoyed driving to Brickyard Rd. to the family homestead and listening to music. The family would like to thank Dr. McFarlane and Dr. Hewlett, staff of New Waterford Homecare, Glace Bay and the Regional Hospital and VON for the care given to Gordon over the last year. ‘Dad, always on our minds, forever in our hearts.’ Cremation has taken place under the care of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m. with a Celebration of Life for Gordon to follow at 3 pm with Lily MacDonald officiating all taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199)
