Thomas (Tom) Burns, age 69, passed away peacefully at Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines, on November 1, 2022, after a lengthy struggle with numerous health issues. Tom was the son of the late Robert and Evelyn Burns.

For several years, Tom worked at Harbourstone where he enjoyed the camaraderie of staff and clients. Through all his medical issues, Tom kept a great sense of humor.

Tom is survived by sisters, Thelma (Alexander) Ball and her two children, Elizabeth and Katie; Mary (Fred) Harris and their two children, Daniel and Robert and two grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Miners Memorial Manor.
