Dear family and friends of Ms. Beth,
I would like to extend my deepest condolences. I had the pleasure of being one of Ms. Beth’ students in Suzhou, China. She was the best principal a high school student could ever ask for. She truly cared about us, and treated each one of us as her own. I would not be who I am today without her guidance.
Dear Ms. Beth,
I’m sorry that you went through such pain. I’m grateful to have you by my side while I was facing a lot of doubts as a girl that wanted to go into engineering field. You meant a lot to me and I will always remember your cheerful smile and positive words. May you rest in peace.

Dear Pius and Conrad family,
I am in shock to hear of Beth’s passing and my heart is broken. Beth and I taught at Cornwallis Junior High together many years ago and we just hit it off, like kindred spirits. Beth was such a bright, gifted teacher who simply loved each and every student she met, no matter what their background or educational challenge. She befriended them, fought for them, and totally believed in them.
She hosted several girl- only evening at her house for her female staff members where we’d swim in the pool, bbq supper, and solve all the educational problems! A cherished memory I’ll treasure forever.
Beth, you were a one of a kind person, and an angel on earth. Bless you and thank you for touching my heart and life during those early days of teaching. May you be at peace with the Lord. Ox. Susan Wilkie

I am shocked and saddened by the news of Beth’s passing.
The last time I saw her was a my Mom’s funeral in Dartmouth in Dec 2014. She was as bubbly, genuine and charismatic as I remember from our school days. Reading her story, she has accomplished so much in her life and truly has made a difference.
My sincere condolences to the Conrad, Raymond and extended families.

Beth was the first person I met when I moved to China. Over the course of the three years we spent there together, we developed a close friendship. She was the kind of educator and person that I greatly admired - someone who cared deeply about the people around her, someone who could see the light in dark times and someone who would never back down from an adventure. Beth approached people with an open mind and open heart, always seeing the best in each person. She was a huge support to me and my now wife, and we'll forever be grateful.
From trips to IKEA, the hot springs in Suzhou, and glasses of wine with cheese at home, Beth was always up for deep conversations about life, love and education. Her incredible resilience, love of adventure, and belief in people are values that I will carry forward in my life. I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to her family and friends, and have them know that she will live on forever in the hearts of the people she inspired.
Rest in Peace my friend, I'll never forget you.

I wanted to give my deepest and sincerest condolences to Beth's family, friends and anyone who was lucky enough to meet her.
I had the pleasure of meeting Beth for the first time in China, as she was the principal of the International School in which I had just been hired. She immediately made an amazing impression on myself as well as others by showing her true personality, highlighted by her positivity, caring approach and overall zest for life. Beth was an inspiration and a role model who never stopped sharing her love for education and general self betterment. She truly brought out the best in others. I will always remember the wonderful, life changing conversations that her and I shared throughout the two years we worked together and from keeping in touch afterwards. Through her own perseverance and caring personality, I have learned so much about what it means to be a wonderful person and the memories I have shared with you, I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. You were so helpful to me during my own struggles and I am so grateful that I had the privilege of meeting you. I am going to miss you so much Beth and I hope that you truly can rest, with no more pain and sorrow, and join your loved ones for eternity. I know that you will look down at us like a guardian angel, protecting and educating us all from above. May you rest in peace.

I met Beth when she became the first principal that I worked under while teaching in china. Having her as my first teaching boss was a dream as she always worked to include the staff in the decision making process and had a true open door policy. Beth was one of the main reasons I chose to continue teaching at the school. Even with all the drama and problems of the job and her own health concerns she made it a wonderful place to work. I am going to miss my upstairs neighbor and the person that I could always rely on for help when troubles came. I will dearly miss our wine and sushi dinners and knowing that I had a big sister looking out for me. I know Beth would want all of us to remember the good times so here is a good picture of one of them.
