Obituary of Amal Khalil

“If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord” Romans 14:8 KHALIL, Amal, age 35, of Bridgewater, passed away on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at Halifax, NS. Born in Egypt, Amal was the daughter of Saber Khalil and Tahany Ragy. Amal was born to great Christian parents who taught her to be kind and faithful. She got her license as a pharmacist one and a half months ago and worked at Walmart, Bridgewater. She was amazing, loving, and kind to everyone. Amal has a wonderful 6-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. She is known for serving, caring, and supporting anyone in need. She was an active member of St Mena’s Coptic Church in Halifax. She is survived by her husband, Amgad Barsoum; son, Jacob Barsoum; daughter, Julie Barsoum; 1 brother; 1 sister; and her parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 15th, 2022, at 11:00am at Saint Mena’s Coptic Orthodox Church, 167 Willett Street, Halifax, NS. B3M 3L6 with Fr. Daniel Rizg and Fr. Thomas Iskarous officiating. Interment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery. The family would like to give thank you to all community members in Halifax and Bridgewater, but specially to all Saint Mena’s Coptic Church Congregation.
