Obituary of Cecil 'Cec" Gerald O'Handley

Cecil Gerald O’Handley, 69 Glace Bay, NS It is with deep sadness, that we the family of Cecil Gerald O’Handley announce his sudden passing on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Glace Bay. Cecil was the son of the late Cecil and Floss O’Handley of Glace Bay, NS. Dad’s biggest passion was painting; from painting a wall to Hot Rods and Motorcycles, to the most amazing oil painting, as well as being the best hand sign painter around. He was very much involved in art, and nature, and he appreciated fishing and being outdoors with his two boys. Dad could build and fix anything to which he put his hands on. Cecil worked in Flin Flon, MB for many years with Hud Bay Minerals (HBM&S), he was a very dedicated and hard worker. Cecil is survived by two sons: Jason O’Handley (Lori) and Richard O’Handley; four grandchildren: Aislyn, Hudson, MacKenzie, and Tavon. Also survived by his brother Dan and Margie O’Handley and sister Debbie O’Handley. Along with his parents, Cecil was predeceased by a sister Carmella O’Handley. The family would like to thank all those who had spent time him in the last few years, it meant so much to him. Cremation has taken place.
