Obituary of Patricia Rose Marryatt

MARRYATT, Patricia Rose – May 31, 1943 to September 29, 2022, passed away at age 79 in Halifax. Pat (Patsy) was the daughter of the late Donald Tilley and Irene Pardy of Shoal Harbour NL. Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold; daughter, Heather (Michael) Hoyt; granddaughters, Chelsea (Henry Colin) Hoyt, Sarah (Lucas MacInnis) Hoyt; and siblings, Pearl (Derick) Martin and Donald (Elizabeth) Pardy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Originally from Shoal Harbour Newfoundland, her adventurous soul brought her to Nova Scotia at the age of 19 where she began her administrative career at Canadian Red Cross Services and met the love of her life. Always ready to take on a challenge she had many administrative roles, with the crown achievement of opening her own business in 2000 that she was actively working until her passing. Her true passion was her family, though she did like to travel and enjoy a “Dirty Blonde” poolside on occasion. Wednesday night dinners with her granddaughters and their partners were the highlight of her week. The family would like to thank the staff at the Halifax Infirmary on 8.3, 7.2 IMCU, 3 IMCU, especially to the critical care team on 5.2 ICU for the compassion and care provided to Pat during her time in their care. Arrangements have been entrusted to T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax. A service will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Thursday October 13, 2022 at 10:00 am, followed by a reception.
